We read every day in class either to ourselves or to each other. We read different stories every day during literacy boost as well. During Literacy Boost there are eight centers run with one rotation. This enables small groups for optimum learning. |

Writing
We write every day. We write a dictation from Mrs. Mollard in our handwriting journals, we write in literacy boost, and during several different activities every day.
Reading Programs
We use Scott Foresman as a foundation but we implement other programs such as fundations.
It is very important for your kindergartner to have a strong foundation in phonics for future reading and decoding.
